Textbook and Readings
This page gives you information on the textbooks and some of the readings required for the class. All semester readings will be posted to canvas.
This is the main text for the class. It is free and you can read it online or download the PDF of the book. This book gives you the basic information related to social problems but is doesn't give you a lot of examples. I have added additional readings to support this text.
Another important text for this class is the Open Stax Intro to Sociology textbook. This book provides support information to give you a deeper understanding of some of the issues covered in the social problems text. This book defines the terms and concepts used in the discussion of various social problems.
There are other readings for the class. These will be posted to canvas either as PDF files or internet links.
